A Community Rooted in Faith.
Alive in Diversity.
Every voice matters and every story belongs.
Multicultural Mission & Ministries is a growing community of people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences who come together to worship, build relationships, and grow in faith.
As a mission ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, in partnership with the Delaware–Maryland Synod, we are committed to creating spaces where people are fully seen, valued, and empowered.

Our Vision
We seek to bring people together from every part of the world to proclaim the Gospel, share Christ, and live in meaningful fellowship. Our vision is to embody God’s love in diverse and interconnected communities, where faith is lived out through relationships, justice, and compassion.

Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate a spiritually grounded, intentionally multicultural community rooted in worship, fellowship, and spiritual formation.
Through intentional relationships, leadership development, and outreach, we nurture a space where people across cultures, races, classes, abilities, genders, sexual orientations, generations, and lived experiences are not only welcomed, but fully valued and empowered.
We actively practice cross-cultural awareness, deepen belonging, and celebrate the many ways people experience and express faith.
Our Story
Multicultural Mission & Ministries was formed through the coming together of two communities: Global Peace in Frederick and Beloved Community in the western Baltimore area.
As these ministries grew, they shared a common calling to create a more connected, multicultural expression of church. Through prayer, partnership, and vision, they became one ministry with multiple gathering spaces, expanding opportunities for connection, worship, and outreach.
Today, we continue to grow as a network of communities, creating new spaces, or “circles,” for people to gather, build relationships, and share life together.

Worship as a Shared Experience
Worship is at the heart of our community. It is not simply something we attend—it is something we create together.
Our worship reflects the voices, cultures, and experiences of our people. Through shared preparation, storytelling, music, prayer, and cultural expression, worship becomes a living reflection of our community and our commitment to justice, compassion, and belonging.
